Urban Flooding Risks

The ArcGIS ModelBuilder workflow used to build this page compares floodplain with tax parcel data to identify what urban areas are likely to be impacted by a flooding event.

With two shapefiles, a user may apply this model to any city. Outputs include tables of statistical data and a map. The map shows tax parcels that intersect the regulated floodplain (shown in red) and tax parcels within 500 feet of the floodplain (shown in orange).
